Selva is a municipality located in the central part of the island, at the foot of the Sierra de Tramuntana (World Heritage) mountain range. The setting provides breathtaking views over the Sierra and in some parts they even stretches to the bay of Alcudia. This small community has around 3,800 inhabitants and is an ideal choice for those who wish to enjoy the authentic Mallorca. It has, amongst others, several grocery shops, restaurants, cafés, two pharmacies, and a sports centre. The weekly market is held every Wednesday in the Plaça Major, providing an extensive variety of food, clothing and handicrafts. It’s very close to the city of Inca, which offers all kinds of services, and about 40 minutes from the centre of Palma and the airport, as well as to most beaches.
