  Fornalutx: Emplacement et environnement de ce bien

 Fornalutx, nommé plus beau village d'Espagne en 2017, se trouve au cœur de la chaîne de montagnes de Tramuntana, déclarée patrimoine mondial de l'humanité par l'UNESCO en 2011. Elle est traversée par une profonde vallée qui s'étend du Puig Major, le plus haut sommet de Majorque, jusqu'à Sóller, à 15 minutes de route. Le charme méditerranéen et l'originalité de l'aspect et de l'environnement de cette ville privilégiée sont tout simplement extraordinaires. L'authenticité des avant-toits qui couronnent les maisons en pierre, les "teules pintades" (tuiles peintes), est remarquable. Ses tons rougeâtres représentent à la fois des motifs décoratifs et des symboles de protection. Une exposition colorée de ces "teules" est présentée au musée Can Xoroi, un ancien moulin industriel reconverti. Fornalutx compte des boulangeries et des pâtisseries, des restaurants, des bars, des hôtels, des magasins et des banques, et surtout, elle est idéale pour les sports de montagne. Ses anciennes routes vers Sóller et l'impressionnant ravin de Biniaraix captivent les plus aventureux, qu'il s'agisse d'excursions guidées, de VTT ou d'escalade. Chaque année, en septembre, ont lieu les fêtes patronales de la Nativité de la Mare de Déu. Pendant une semaine, ses centaines d'habitants et de visiteurs profitent de la musique, des danses, des jeux pour enfants et d'un hommage sincère aux personnes âgées de la ville.
