  Pollensa: Emplacement et environnement de ce bien 
---------------------------------------------------

 La belle vieille ville de Pollensa compte plus de 16 000 habitants et fait partie de la municipalité de Pollensa, qui comprend également Puerto Pollensa et Cala San Vicente. La ville se trouve à 6 km de la côte et à 58 km de l'aéroport et de la capitale Palma de Majorque. La vieille ville se caractérise par ses rues étroites et sa place du marché. On y trouve un mélange de cafés, de bars, de restaurants et de petits hôtels. Pollensa offre un aperçu particulier du style de vie méditerranéen qui a évolué au fil des siècles. C'est une ville chargée d'histoire qui attache une grande importance à ses traditions et à ses coutumes. Au début des années 1920, Pollensa est devenue une destination populaire pour les peintres, écrivains et musiciens célèbres qui visitaient l'île. Aujourd'hui, Pollensa continue de jouer un rôle important dans le monde de la culture et de l'art, en promouvant et en accueillant des concerts et des expositions d'importance, comme le Festival international de musique qui se tient pendant les mois d'été. Le calendrier des événements est très chargé à Pollensa, les plus notables étant les fêtes de Sant Antoni en janvier, les célébrations de Pâques et les festivités de la semaine du saint patron "La Patrona Mare de Déu dels Àngels", du 26 juillet au 2 août inclus. La foire aux vins, en avril, et les marchés du dimanche, qui ont lieu chaque semaine, valent également la peine d'être visités. Parmi les points d'intérêt, citons le couvent du Puig de Maria, qui offre de fantastiques vues à 360º et un excellent café ; sur réservation, il est même possible d'y dormir pour une somme modique. Il y a un pont romain, qui n'est probablement pas romain, et les 365 marches du Calvario. Ici aussi, il y a un petit café au sommet pour se remettre de l'ascension et profiter de la vue sur les baies de Pollensa et d'Alcudia.
