Grâce au développement du tourisme, l'ancien port de pêche est devenu un point névralgique international qui, grâce à ses excellentes options hôtelières et gastronomiques, est aujourd'hui une destination charmante, en particulier pour les familles. Elle offre une promenade de plage variée et une longue plage de sable fin avec des eaux généralement calmes, parfaites pour la pratique de toutes sortes de sports nautiques. Il existe une longue liste de bars et de restaurants où l'on peut prendre un bon repas tout en admirant la beauté de la baie, en particulier depuis la célèbre promenade des pins (Paseo de los pinos).
