Luxury countryside house on the outskirts of Pollensa, situated on an elevated position offering stunning views of the iconic Puig de María. The property stands out for its modern and elegant architecture, designed to blend naturally with the surrounding landscape. The infinity-edge pool becomes the focal point of the exterior, while the backdrop provides breathtaking views of the neighbouring fields, home to centuries-old oak forests, olive trees, carob trees, and vineyards, as well as flocks of sheep. The interior of the house perfectly combines modernity with island style. The exposed stone walls, in contrast with the contemporary design, create a unique atmosphere that is complemented by comfortable furniture and high-end equipment, including state-of-the-art appliances, a wood-burning fireplace, and hot/cold air conditioning. The heart of the house is its spacious and bright living-dining room, with high ceilings and large windows that open directly to the pool terrace and garden. The modern and functional kitchen features a central work island. On this level, there are also three cozy en-suite double bedrooms. On the lower level, an additional room with a sofa bed, full bathroom, and an entertainment room with a ping-pong table offers versatile space for leisure. The glass wall that connects this area with the pool allows the reflections and movement of the water to create a relaxing and special atmosphere. The property also includes a large garage and an independent bedroom with exterior access, a bathroom, and a kitchenette, ideal for staff or as guest accommodation. Price according to season. Pollensa: Location and surroundings of this property
The beautiful old town of Pollensa has a population of more than 16,000 and is part of the Municipality of Pollensa, that also includes Puerto Pollensa and Cala San Vicente. The town is 6 km from the coast and 58 from the airport and the capital Palma de Mallorca. The old town is characterised by narrow streets and the old market square. The town has a medley of cafes, bars, eateries and small hotels. Pollensa offers a special insight into the Mediterranean lifestyle that has evolved over the centuries, it is a town with history that values its traditions and customs. In the early 1920s, Pollensa became a popular destination for famous painters, writers and musicians who visited the island. Today Pollensa continues to be important to the cultural and art worlds promoting and hosting concerts and exhibitions of relevance, such as the International Music Festival held during the summer months. The event calendar is busy in Pollensa the most notable occasions being the festivals of Sant Antoni in January the Easter celebrations and the week-long festivities of the patron saint ‘La Patrona Mare de Déu dels Àngels’ from the 26th July to and including the 2nd of August. Also well worth visiting is the wine fair in April and the Sunday markets held every week. Points of interest include the convent on the Puig de Maria, where there are fantastic 360º views and a great cafe, and if you book you can even sleep there for a small sum. There is a Roman Bridge, which probably is not Roman and the 365 steps of the Calvario, here too there is a great little cafe at the top to recover from the climb and relish the huge views to both the bays of Pollensa and Alcudia.
