Located along the coastline towards the bay of Alcudia is the residential area of Alcanada, a quiet and exclusive corner, where property is much sought after following the construction of an 18 hole golf course in 2004. Alcanada beach is 200 metres long with an average width of 20 metres. It's a peaceful family beach with crystal clear waters and small pebbles for sand. Alcanada is beautiful; a heavenly place. It's crowned by an island with a huge lighthouse and sheltered from the wind by a small scented pine grove. Apart from that it's completely unspoilt; there are two restaurants, few bars, a small supermarket and bus service but no tourist facilities. This just adds to its charm; situated only 3km fron the centre of Alcudia old town.
