Fabulous little finca (6754 m2) with a ruin (187 m2) to reform in the protected area of Vall de March in Pollensa. The valley is a stunning arable location surrounded by the beautiful Tramuntana Mountains, all just a 5-minute drive from Pollensa town. There is an existing basic project for a complete reform (incl. 3 bedrooms and 2 baths), however, the building permission will need to be renewed. A future house can have a constructed area of 187 m2 with no changes to the exterior structure and the outer stone walls must be preserved (no pool will be permitted). The property is back-to-back with the neighbour but remains very private and is closed with dry stone walls, there is mains electricity and a well. This property has the potential to be an absolutely magical home amidst pure Majorcan countryside in one of the most beautiful valleys on the island. If you are looking to restore an authentic Mallorcan country cottage that is on a manageable plot of land this is a must see! It is something very special.

Pollensa: Location and surroundings of this property

The beautiful old town of Pollensa has a population of more than 16,000 and is part of the Municipality of Pollensa, that also includes Puerto Pollensa and Cala San Vicente. The town is 6 km from the coast and 58 from the airport and the capital Palma de Mallorca. The old town is characterised by narrow streets and the old market square. The town has a medley of cafes, bars, eateries and small hotels. Pollensa offers a special insight into the Mediterranean lifestyle that has evolved over the centuries, it is a town with history that values its traditions and customs. In the early 1920s, Pollensa became a popular destination for famous painters, writers and musicians who visited the island. Today Pollensa continues to be important to the cultural and art worlds promoting and hosting concerts and exhibitions of relevance, such as the International Music Festival held during the summer months. The event calendar is busy in Pollensa the most notable occasions being the festivals of Sant Antoni in January the Easter celebrations and the week-long festivities of the patron saint ‘La Patrona Mare de Déu dels Àngels’ from the 26th July to and including the 2nd of August. Also well worth visiting is the wine fair in April and the Sunday markets held every week. Points of interest include the convent on the Puig de Maria, where there are fantastic 360º views and a great cafe, and if you book you can even sleep there for a small sum. There is a Roman Bridge, which probably is not Roman and the 365 steps of the Calvario, here too there is a great little cafe at the top to recover from the climb and relish the huge views to both the bays of Pollensa and Alcudia.
