Just a five-minute drive from Pollensa and set in a beautiful rural landscape in the valley of San Vicente, for sale, an antique farmhouse and farm buildings, mostly in need of a full refurbishment, plus a three-bedroom house that is perfectly habitable and possesses a holiday rental licence. Between the two houses are a total of 18 rooms. The little house has a basic kitchen, laundry room, 3 simple bathrooms (one on suite and one poolside), cosy living room with an open fireplace and a small winter garden for dining. The highlights of the smaller property are a tree shaded terrace in front of a super pool (built in 2018), where there is also a sun terrace and pool house (incl. one of the bathrooms). And also a huge porch with a barbecue, in front of lovely gardens with night time illumination, which is absolutely perfect for entertaining or just chilling with family and friends. The property was a working farm and has been in the same family for five generations, today there are still sheep on the land, fruit, fig and avocado trees. The agricultural land and garden are very well maintained, other areas include low mountain terrain, caves and protected natural areas that include oak groves. Water comes from two wells and the electricity cables are underground. Among other various buildings are a water wheel (in ruin), sheep pens, a large garage, as well as a pigsty and a henhouse that are in bad condition but can be rebuilt. The property is a catalogued, antique possession in a truly glorious position that has the potential to be a stunning and original country home, it is also one of the very few so close to Pollensa’s old town as well as being just 1km from the turquoise waters of the coves of Cala San Vicente. This property is the perfect foundation for the creation of a dream home. Please note that the plans shown in this expose correspond to a possible future layout of the main farmhouse. Pollensa: Location and surroundings of this property

The beautiful old town of Pollensa has a population of more than 16,000 and is part of the Municipality of Pollensa, that also includes Puerto Pollensa and Cala San Vicente. The town is 6 km from the coast and 58 from the airport and the capital Palma de Mallorca. The old town is characterised by narrow streets and the old market square. The town has a medley of cafes, bars, eateries and small hotels. Pollensa offers a special insight into the Mediterranean lifestyle that has evolved over the centuries, it is a town with history that values its traditions and customs. In the early 1920s, Pollensa became a popular destination for famous painters, writers and musicians who visited the island. Today Pollensa continues to be important to the cultural and art worlds promoting and hosting concerts and exhibitions of relevance, such as the International Music Festival held during the summer months. The event calendar is busy in Pollensa the most notable occasions being the festivals of Sant Antoni in January the Easter celebrations and the week-long festivities of the patron saint ‘La Patrona Mare de Déu dels Àngels’ from the 26th July to and including the 2nd of August. Also well worth visiting is the wine fair in April and the Sunday markets held every week. Points of interest include the convent on the Puig de Maria, where there are fantastic 360º views and a great cafe, and if you book you can even sleep there for a small sum. There is a Roman Bridge, which probably is not Roman and the 365 steps of the Calvario, here too there is a great little cafe at the top to recover from the climb and relish the huge views to both the bays of Pollensa and Alcudia.
