  Puerto de Pollensa (Catalan Port de Pollença) is located in the north of the island and is only 6 km away from the town of Pollensa. Thanks to the development of the tourism, the former fishing port has become an international hotspot, which because of its great hotel and dining options is today a delightful destination, especially for families. It offers a diverse beach promenade and a fine and long stretch of sandy beach with mostly calm waters that are perfect for practicing all kinds of water sports. There is a long list of bars and restaurants where you can have a nice meal while enjoying the beauty of the bay, especially from the famous Pine Walk (Paseo de los pinos) promenade. This is a very relaxing walk that ends in a very discrete military zone. Surrounded by beautiful summer residences, single-family houses and apartments, every visitor will be thrilled by this special location. Boat owners it is also home to fantastic nautical services, has a very nice marina and a super yacht club. Other areas of interest are the Boquer Valley (La Vall de Bóquer), a fabulous valley on the edge of the town that ends in a beautiful cove with crystal clear water, the lookout point of La Creueta on the way to Formentor where there are spectacular views over the port of Pollensa and as far as the beach in Formentor, and the Albufera nature reserve that is of incredible ornithological and botanical value.
