The property can accommodate up to 6 people, all bathrooms are en-suite and are equipped to a high standard. The main entrance of the house leads directly into a spacious room which can function as the living room or as a home cinema where one can enjoy TV, Sky or DVDs on a large screen. On this floor there is also a guest toilet and a fully equipped laundry room with washing machine and dryer. There is a library with childrens books and games for the youngest guests. The first floor offers two twin bedrooms, each with a bathroom. Also on this floor is a cozy snug with a fireplace and a large TV, the dining area and the generous, fully equipped kitchen. From the kitchen one can accesses the terrace with the approximately 6m x 5m pool. Deckchairs with pool towels are available. Beside the covered terrace for outdoor dining is the guest house. There is a staircase leading up from the terrace to access the private parking space - thus the house has two entrances. The second floor comprises of the master suite. Entering, one finds the study with a writing desk and sofa bed. As well a walk-in wardrobe and a very spacious bathroom. From here you have access to the roof terrace where one can enjoy the panoramic views across the village of Deia to the mountains.

Location and surroundings of this property

Deià is a sunny town located on the western coast of Mallorca, a 20-minute drive from Sóller. Many beautiful houses, villas and country estates in Deià offer great views to the Tramuntana and the crystal-clear waters of the Mediterranean. Deià is dotted with shops, hotels, cafés and restaurants, and holds a weekly market with local products and crafts. Known as a village of artists, this cosmopolitan enclave has attracted artists for many years, inspiring renowned literary, musical and pictorial works. Since 1978, the town holds the Deià International Music Festival between June and September. This prestigious chamber-music festival allows its public to enjoy select musical pieces in idyllic settings. The feast of Sant Joan, the patron saint, takes place around June 24th, with all kinds of recreational activities fusing tradition and modernity. Cultural highlights include the house-museum of Robert Graves, famous British poet, author of I, Claudius, who lived in the town for many years and is buried in its cemetery; the Son Marroig house-museum, which hosts the art collection and other items owned by Archduke Luis Salvador of Austria, great scholar on the Balearic Islands and generous protector of its nature; and the Archaeological Museum of Deià, hosting remains from local digging sites.
